CPD is the intentional maintenance and development of the knowledge or skills required to perform in a professional context and CPD obligations are present in many professions. Most companies and organisations prioritise CPD training as it ensures a constantly developing workforce. This could mean honing current skills or learning new ones that will allow an employee’s job role to expand or prepare them for a potential promotion.
This means that there are millions of professionals across the UK who are required to undertake CPD training every year.
In 2019, we took part in the Pilot Light programme run by Barclays Bank that helps charities to set up social enterprises. Early in the process, we realised the value of our wonderful Autism Awareness training and our 90-minute presentation has now been accredited by the CPD Standards Office.
Our trainers can visit to deliver the training and and we also offer a virtual version that can be delivered via Zoom or Teams. Delegates can expect an interactive session learning about issues such as the Triad of Impairments while taking part in a number of exercises designed to increase understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
There is increasing awareness of Autism in the mainstream media and several politicians at both local and national level have made reference to improving awareness as well as the quality of care for people on the spectrum, which we hope will stimulate interest in our training.
There is a charge for our CPD accredited Autism Awareness training, but we are sure you will consider it very good value for money! For more information, go to www.sycamoretrainingservices.org.uk or drop a line to enquries@sycamoretrainingservices.org.uk or call 020 8517 9317.
