We've enjoyed the support of Mont Rose College in Ilford in the past, and they excelled themselves with their activities around Autism Acceptance Week.

MRC dedicated a day to fostering a deeper understanding and cultivating support for those within the autism spectrum.

A number of activities took place during this significant period.

  • Stand Out in Style - Students adorned themselves in hues of green or blue as they"Dared to be Different" to highlight the diverse college fabric.
  • Culinary Unity - They travelled the culinary world with traditional dishes prepared by our students. The Top Up BA (Hons) Business Management class presented an array of international cuisine at the Mont Rose House Cafeteria.
  • Raffle for a Cause - Students tried thier luck with the raffle hamper, generously filled with premium surprises to benefit the Sycamore Trust.
  • Visual Advocacy - Under the banner of “Together We Thrive,” students were encouraged to look for visually compelling posters that embodied the college's commitment to autism awareness.

Mont Rose College prides itself on creating a platform for dialogue, learning, and community engagement, and they made a wonderful, vibrant, contribution to our Dare to be Different Day. The efforts of the staff andf students raised £1,000 and earlier this week, the Sycamore team of Joseph Allford, Robert Lamb and Steve Dixon were very pleased to visit and collect a cheque from Students Services Manager, Kamel Hachouf.
