Trustees required
Sycamore Trust is a vibrant organization, supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.
We are seeking to recruit additional trustees to join our Board of Trustees. We would like to appoint trustees who are passionate and committed to changing the lives of autistic individuals and we would like our board to continue to reflect our drive to be a diverse and inclusive board. Hence we are looking to recruit trustees who have a lived experience of autism, who work or live within our local community, and individuals who have professional experience in a range of subjects including marketing, law, business management, education etc.
The key responsibilities for being a trustee:
- ensuring that the organisation provides high-quality services/programmes that meet the needs of our service users
- that we comply with all monitoring requirements requested by our funders
- that we meet all statutory and regulatory requirements
- attendance at monthly committee meeting held either online or face to face
- attendance at our Annual General Meeting
- willingness to take on individual roles within the Board
- supporting the charity with their individual expertise and knowledge when required
- supporting activities and fundraising where possible
