Two part-time roles available

Sycamore Trust UK are looking for staff to fill two important part-time roles.

The first position is with our team of sessional staff and volunteers delivering activities for young adult men with autism and learning disabilities.

Job Description (summary):

  • To work within a team of sessional staff and volunteers delivering activities for adult men with autism and learning disabilities aged 18 to 30 years, two evenings a month
  • To help deliver one session at our hall in Dagenham, and one in the community
  • To work within our Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Person Specification (summary)

  • The ability to communicate effectively with both staff and clients.
  • Dedication, commitment, and compassion
  • Willingness to access any relevant training.
  • Knowledge of living or working with adults diagnosed with autism and/or learning disabilities.

For: 5 hours per month (2 ½ hrs per session)

When: 2 x Fridays 18.45 – 21.15pm (possible day may change to Monday from April).

Where: The Hall, Woodward Road, Dagenham, RM9 4SJ / The Community

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Reporting to: Adult and Youth Services Manager

 

The second role is for a Youth Activities Worker to join our sports project, which runs until July this year.

Job Title: Youth Activities Worker

  • Knowledge of living or working with Autism and/or Learning Difficulties is desirable
  • Experience of working with young people in sports field desirable
  • Dedication, Commitment and Compassion are essential.

For: 2hrs per week (term time only)

When: on a Saturday from 12.30 – 14.30pm

Where: Castle Green Leisure Centre, Dagenham

Pay: £13.15 per hour

Reporting to: Adult and Youth Services Manager
