Seeing is believing!

Royal Observatory trip for half term week

We had a wonderful day out on Monday when we took a group of young people to Greenwich Royal Observatory.

The Royal Observatory have recently undertaken a consultation process to ensure that their facilities are available and welcoming to everyone and they asked us to come along and have a look around and see a show at the Planetarium, and we were delighted to visit during half term week.

It was an early start as we left Dagenham at 8am, arriving in Greenwich Park just after 9.30am on a crisp spring morning.

We looked around the Royal Observatory, and we were able to see a show at the Planetarium - now London's only Planetarium- which we followed up with a workshop in which we discussed what we learned and what we enjoyed.  After a lunch break, we headed home, having really enjoyed our visit.

Huge thanks to Royal Observatory staff for making us welcome.
