Rambling round Raphaels!

Grab your trainers and get walking and talking! Our fourth annual Autism Acceptance Week sponsored walk takes place on World Autism Acceptance Day - Wednesday 2nd April 2025!

It's all part of our efforts for Autism Acceptance Week, which starts on Monday 31st March, and we'll be building up to our Dare to be Different day on Friday 4th April. We would love for as many people as possible to join us, catching up with old friends and making some new ones along the way. We're hoping to raise funds for the Sycamore Trust and highlight awareness and empathy of Autism at the same time.

It's slightly different this year in that we won't start in Dagenham. Instead we're going to concentrate our activities on glorious Raphaels Park, which will no doubt be a riot of colour in early April. The walk starts at 10.00am and we should be finished around 2pm. If you're joining us, please meet us inside the gatehouse on Main Road before 10.00am.

We know that times are tough, so any donation, however big or small, is very welcome. Thank you for everyone who has helped us! If you're comking, please note that there are some parking rescrictions, as detailed below;

  • You can only park for 3 hours – it is free but still have to use pay by phone app to register.
  • There is some free parking at back of park – along Parklands Ave
  • 174 and 498 buses stop outside the park on Main Road.
  • If you spend less than £5 at the café in the park you need to bring cash.
