Our City Bridge Foundation-funded youth groups have now entered their summer break. The young people, who started with us in April, have now completed two of their six life skills modules; relationships; and social skills. We are incredibly proud of the commitment and enthusiasm they have shown completing the modules.
As well as supporting young people to engage in the all-important life skills modules, we also organise fun activities, and during July each youth group received a visit from the team from Pop Up Arcade. Pop Up Arcade promises the ultimate gaming party, and never disappoints, so their visits are hugely popular with our youth group members.
We funded the parties using award money from Jack Petchey Foundation. The members of each youth group nominated a deserving peer to receive a Jack Petchey award and each winner chose a gaming party as a reward for their group. The individual winners of the Jack Petchey awards will receive them at our special awards evening, towards the end of the year, but for now, the members of each group had fun playing retro and modern arcade games and experiencing the thrills of the VR headset.
We must thank City Bridge Foundation and Jack Petchey Foundation, as none of this would be possible without their funding!
