New CEO announced

Sycamore Trust UK are delighted to announce the appointment of Cheryl Kearney as Chief Executive Officer. Cheryl will take over from Chris Gillbanks, who is set to retire next month after more than two decades of service as Sycamore CEO.

Cheryl has been with Sycamore Trust for over five years, having joined the charity in 2018 to run the Speak With A Picture project, but also has many years of management experience in other sectors and was seen by Trustees to be the best candidate to take the organisation forward.

Cheryl said "I am excited to lead such a wonderful charity and look forward to building on the solid foundations of the trust. I see my main focus to move the charity forward to ensure our clients continue to receive the highest possible level of support and guidance."

Chair of trustees Jo Baty commented; "We are very proud to welcome Cheryl Kearney as our newly appointed CEO of Sycamore Trust. Cheryl is picking up the baton from Chris Gillbanks who has made a massive contribution to services and support available for children, young people and families for whom Autism is part of everyday life. Cheryl knows and has worked for Sycamore and shares Chris’s passion and drive."
