Our week at the Lambourne End centre for outdoor learning got off to a great start on Monday with a mixture of wet and dry activities.
This is our first visit to Lambourne for our outdoor adventure week and we've been looking forward to it for ages. It's an amazing place and our young people are loving the activities, some of which they have done before, but some of which are new and exciting. It was a familiar prospect that greeted our youngsters on Monday morning as they took aim on the archery range, with a different group heading down to the pool for a spot of rafting.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the woods, there was an excellent team-building exercise, in which our young people learned to work together to overcome a series of challenges.
After lunch, it was the curiously titled 'eggs can fly' which was great fun and really caught the imagination. As always, the emphasis was on teamwork, communication, building self-esteem and improving those social skills that we spend so much time working on throughout the year. Most importantly, we had a lot of fun!
