LBBD Start for life
As part of the Start for Life programme, LBBD is setting up a parent & carer forum to come together once a month to talk about the services that are available locally. They will also be asked to test out and contribute to the development of new services aimed specifically at parents and carers of babies and young children.
This is an opportunity to influence and shape the way families and children can access advice, information, guidance and support, when required, in Barking & Dagenham.
LBBD plan to open three Family Hubs, in the North, East and West of the borough that are open to families, children and young people, delivering a one stop shop of services to meet the needs of Barking & Dagenham residents. A fourth Hub, supporting children with complex disabilities, is also planned.
