Howzat!

Indoor cricket takes centre stage

We are delighted that sixteen young people joined us at our second Summer of Sport session this week to experience two hours of fun and exhilarating multi-sports. The four-week programme is funded by Sport England and the sessions are led by Nikki Fairbairn a sports coach with years of experience of delivering sport sessions for young people with a disability or additional need.

Nikki delivers sessions for a variety of organisations and is the founder of ‘This Girl’s Ability’ a not-for-profit Community Interest Company offering sport and social activities to disabled girls in East London and Essex. If you want to find out more about ‘This Girl’s Ability’ check out the website at www.thisgirlsability.co.uk

This week we were also joined by one of Nikki’s frequent collaborators, Bradley Donovan, Disability Development Officer at Essex Cricket, who led an energetic and fun indoor cricket session for our young people.

The next session is on Thursday 10th August and if you would like to know more click here: https://www.sycamoretrust.org.uk/latest/article/Sycamore-summer-of-sport-2023  or drop Matt a line at activities@sycamoretrust.org.uk . Huge thanks to Nikki, Bradley, the staff and volunteer team, and our friends at Sport England for making these multi-sports sessions happen!
