Healthwatch B&D to visit Parent Support Group
Our next Parent Support Group meeting takes place at our Dagenham premises next Monday, 12th June. However, it will be a parent group with a difference, as staff from Healthwatch Barking & Dagenham will attend to get parents views on the Educational Health Care Plan.
Healthwatch B&D has recently launched a new project regarding the Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) process and they are keen to hear from parents and carers of children and young people with special needs or disability. Healthwatch B&D want to explore the effectiveness of EHC plans and hear what’s working well and what isn’t.
Our Parent Support Groups are a vital tool for families for whom Autism is part of their everyday routine. As always, space is limited so anyone interested must reserve a space by emailing familyservices@sycamoretrust.org.uk
Any feedback will be used to form a report where Healthwatch will share both best practice and recommendations of how the service needs to improve. Healthwatch Barking and Dagenham are visiting various local schools and support organizations and aim to speak to as many parents as possible.
