Havering Autism Hub to close
The Havering Autism Hub will close to the public next week. Our last day of operation will be Friday 19th Jully and the Hub will close at 4pm.
As many of our service users will be aware, the Hub had been facing an uncertain future since the end of last year, but this does not mean the end of our support for the Havering autistic community – far from it! Sycamore Trust UK has submitted a bid to the local authority to run the new Havering All-Age Autism Service, but we do not expect a decision on that service until August, with the new service expected to start on 1st November.
If we are successful, we will be able to announce details of our exciting new plans for the Havering autistic community, but in the meantime, our priority was to maintain our commitment to the borough. With this in mind, we are very pleased to say that we have secured an arrangement to offer an interim service from a venue in central Romford on Fridays, between 2nd August and 25th October.
