Friday will be a sad day for all of us at the Sycamore Trust as we bid farewell to Vicki Hart from our award-winning Parenting Pathways project.
Vicki joined us in April 2022. Like many Sycamore staff, she has a personal relationship with Autism, as several members of her family are on the spectrum. Apart from being a parent, she also has plenty of experience of working in special educational needs. She worked for Uniting Friends in Gants Hill, a charity that supports adults with Learning Disabilities for almost eight years and worked at Trinity School in Dagenham for over five years.
She will be leaving us to take up a new role supporting ex-offenders with drug and alcohol issues and homeless people and she will be covering a large part of south east England. Despite her new post, we will still see her as she plans to continue working in our Redbridge short breaks club.
After announcing her departure, Vicki said; “It was a very difficult decision to leave Sycamore and I am very sad to go. I’ve made so many new friends since joining Sycamore and I look forward to continuing my role at the Redbridge youth club.”
Sycamore CEO Cheryl Kearney thanked Vicki for her contribution over the last 18 months. She said; “We’re really sad to be losing Vicki, but we’re really pleased that she will stay involved through her work at the youth clubs. She’s made such a positive contribution to the charity and we’re sure she will prove to be a great asset to her new organization. Everyone at Sycamore Trust wishes her the best of luck in the future.”
