Fairway to fundraising!

The first ever Sycamore Trust U.K. annual golf day took place last Friday at Stapleford Abbots golf club in Havering and it was a brilliant day. The weather was on our side as sixty golfers took part, and they also joined in enthusiastically on the putting and chipping competitions before heading out on to the course.

Nick Mummery won the chipping competition

Following the 18 holes, everyone returned to the clubhouse for a late lunch, raffle and prizes. The overall winner of the competition was Paul Woolford with Dean McIntyre collecting both the runner up trophy and the prize for the longest drive, which was sponsored by BPS Building Services. Nick Mummery won the chipping competition before the main event and Paul Fennley won the putting competition. Nearest the pin prizes went to Dave Hernes, Adam Kinnard, Scott Curley and Luke Guthridge but most importantly, everyone had a terrific day and we raised a significant sum for Sycamore Trust U.K.

Jemma and Paul Woolford, who was the overall winner

Thanks to everyone for coming, and to those companies that sponsored holes and entered teams, Thanks are also due to the staff at the course, who looked after us all day, and we must also mention the Sycamore staff team, in particular Jemma & Paul Taylor, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event wenrt ahead. We're looking forward to the next one!!
