What does Autism look like?
You can find out for yourself by visiting the Mercury Mall in Romford! On Monday, a powerful new exhibition opened in the Mercury Mall.
Seventeen young people and young adults have volunteered their photographs to be part of an exhibition in the Daniels' View display space on the third floor of the Mercury. Seventeen faces of ordinary people, all of whom are on the spectrum, proving once and for all that Autistic people are just regular folk.
The idea came out of a conversation that took place during our Steering Group, who felt that it was important to show that you can’t tell that someone is autistic just by looking at them, and that’s where the idea of an Autism photo exhibition was born.
The exhibition is part of our activities for Autism Acceptance Week, which culminates in our Dare to be Different day on Friday. The exhibition will be available up until the Easter weekend, so please go and see it.
