Our Autism Ambassadors have had a busy week and they enjoyed a great afternoon at Crownfield Junior School on Wednesday. Almost 50 members of teaching staff attended our presentation and took part enthusiastically in the exercises that were set by Robert, Francesca and Charlie.
As always, Robert, Frankie and Charllie talked in some detail about their own lived experience of Autism and that led to a very interesting question and answer session at the end.
If the feedback we received is anything to go by, the presentation was a great success - here are some of the comments that we received;
"I will use the information to further improve my practice as a teacher and to improve my understanding with autistic children in my school"
"I now understand the struggles and perspective of Autistic people better. Especially some of the traits of autism and differences between girls and boys"
"Hearing from the Autism Ambassadors was enlightening - learned so much about the challenges for people with autism"
We greatly enjoyed our visit, and we very much look forward to our next one!
