Being a Parent course available for B&D families
Are you a Barking & Dagenham parent with a child two years old or younger? Are you looking for new ways to help your child have the best start in life? Join us on our nine week Being A Parent Course - a programme for local parents, run by local parents
At the end of September 2023, we will be holding our first nine week parent programme, which will be delivered and managed by our volunteer Parent Group Leaders.
The programme is a nine week programme covering key topics of parenting;
- Being a Parent
- Feelings
- Play
- Valuing my child
- Understanding children’s behaviour
- Discipline strategies
- Listening skills
The programme is being held on a Wednesday morning from 10am to 12pm at the offices of DABD in Pembroke Gardens, Dagenham and there will be creche facilities available for parents to prebook. There is also parking available on site.
The criteria for parents to access the training is;
- Must be B&D residents
- Must have a child aged two or under
- Must be committed to the full nine weeks
The programme begins on 27th September and runs through to 6th December 2023 and booking is essential
