The Autism Ambassadors celebrated World Autism Acceptance Day On Tuesday with a presentation to 10 people (including our very own Sue Cornell!) at Havering Mind in Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch. The presentation was followed by an interesting Q&A about the PECS system and Widgit, the website where symbols can be created.
As usual, the Ambassadors received excellent feedback, which reflected that the audience really enjoyed the presentation! Here is a selection of the feedback we received;
"I hadn't heard of PECS before. The sensory overload exercise was very helpful"
"We must make sure all the team are aware of the changes we can make to make our services better"
"The personal examples were brilliant info and examples of how we can change our services"
