The summer holidays are coming to an end but there was still time for a day-trip to Colchester Zoo with 12 of our youth group members. There were a few blurry eyes when we left Woodward Road on a minibus at 8.30 yesterday, but everyone was wide awake by the time we reached the zoo. The weather was kind and we had a fabulous day.
We saw loads of animals and some of the highlights were the monkeys, penguins, elephents, rhino and parakeets. We also caught the sea lion feeding in the afternoon. We took two of the Sycamore Trust cameras so the young people could record their adventure in photographs, and we will share some of those photos in a few weeks time.
For now, here are a few snaps taken by members of the staff team. It was a brilliant day and we must thank Jack Petchey Foundation as the trip was paid for by the awards money we receive from that fabulous charitable foundation. We hope you enjoy the photos.
