A Rose between two thorns!
Our Autism Ambassadors were guests of Mont Rose College in Ilford last week as they delivered another of their autism awareness presentations.
Mont Rose College have been great supporters of Sycamore Trust in the past and donated £1,000 towards our Dare to be Different week as a result of their fundraising activities and we showed our appreciation by coming to present to a large class of almost 60 students at last week.
The Sycamore Trust team of Robert Lamb, Joseph Allford and Steve Dixon were treated to some wonderful hospitality on arrival at the Shakespeare House campus in Ilford, one of the three buildings that form the Mont Rose College. As ever, the presentation was followed by a wide range of questions as the students chatted to Robert and Joseph to get as much information about their lived experience of Autism as they could.
At the end of the presentation, Joseph was presented with a bunch of flowers, which we are reliably informed that he took home and gave to his mum!
